E-automate 4.0.2 Client Installation
  1. Click Start, Run… and in the Open: box type \\itsnt15.iowa.uiowa.edu\ECI402\Setup.exe or simply click the name of the path.

    If you can’t get to \\itsnt15.iowa.uiowa.edu and you are still running the Netware Client, type “W:\Win32\eautomate\Client\setup.exe”.

    Click OK.




     

  2. You must first Remove the old version of E-automate.  Click Remove button, then Next>.



     

  3. Click OK to remove the old version of E-automate.


     

  4. You will see the following window if the old client was successfully uninstalled.  Click Finish



     

  5. Now that you have removed the old version of E-automate, continue with running the installation again.  Click on the Start, Run and in the Open: box type “\\itsnt15\eci402\setup.exe”.  Click OK.



     

  6. When the installer asks you if you'd like to install Internet Explorer 6, click NO and OK on the next dialogue window.  (Unless you are actually running an earlier version of IE, which is highly unlikely.)





     

  7. In e-Automate Setup, Click Next>.



     

  8. Type your Name and Company Name and click Next>.



     

  9. Click YES on the License Agreement.



     

  10. In the Choose Destination Location Window, take the default and click NEXT.



     

  11. Click NEXT.



     

  12. Once the copy process completes, the install will either close the window and the installation is complete or it will continue with the screen on the next page. If the installation completes, go ahead and run E-automate like you did before. I’ve provided you with the Login screen in case you forgot what it looked like.



     

  13. Make sure you click the “No, I will restart my computer later” and click FINISH.



     

  14. You will need to install Microsoft Data Access Components 2.6 (MDAC 2.6)Check the license agreement and click Next>.



     

  15. Click Finish.



     

  16. Click Close.



     

  17. Click OK and the upgrade is complete.



     

  18. Restart the computer.  Once restarted, e-Automate 4.0.2 will be ready to use.
